Learning and Development
We invest in development as it is critical to strengthening our inclusive culture, from induction training where we explain our values and business strategy, our ongoing I&D training which embeds a culture of mutual understanding and fairness, management development to enhance team leadership skills and specialised programmes to support women in leadership roles.
Induction / Onboarding
Inclusion is woven into our induction programme, so new joiners understand from the start what we stand for. New starters are immediately introduced to our purpose and values to underline how important both our culture and inclusion, and diversity really is to us – but our commitment doesn’t stop there.
Ongoing Learning and Inclusive Training
We’re committed to building an inclusive culture, and ongoing learning plays a big part in that. Our colleagues have access to a wide range of development opportunities, from improving their interview skills to leadership training.
Throughout 2024, we continued to strengthen our foundation through mandatory training on topics like Harassment Prevention, Conscious Inclusion, Microaggressions and Anti-Sexual Harassment. This essential training has continued into 2025, helping us create a safer and more respectful environment for everyone.
To support this, all colleagues can access on-demand learning platforms, offering expert insights on a variety of topics – including gender inclusion, wellbeing and parenting as well as diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB).
Management Matters
We know that line managers play a vital role in shaping an inclusive workplace and diverse teams. That’s why we created our Management Matters programme, designed to build core leadership skills grounded in our values:
- Personal: Know your team
- Partnership: Enable your team
- Performance: Drive performance
At the heart of this programme is the belief that every colleague’s contribution matters – and that diverse thinking makes us stronger. We’re helping our managers lead in a way that truly reflects this.
Supporting Women in Leadership
At Evelyn Partners, we’re proud to be creating opportunities to help our female colleagues shine, and this is how.
Supporting women in our workplace is key to growing a strong, diverse pipeline into senior roles. In 2023, we launched our Women in Leadership Series with support from our Executive Committee, creating space for female colleagues to connect, share experiences and hear from inspiring external leaders. We covered topics like career development, imposter syndrome and how to influence with impact.
Building on that, in 2024 we introduced a six-month development programme designed specifically for women, delivered in partnership with an external training provider. It focused on shifting limiting beliefs, overcoming challenges and building strong partnerships, using a blend of e-learning, coaching and group sessions.
This year, we’re launching a new Inclusive Leadership Programme. This will bring both men and women together to spark conversation, deepen mutual understanding and explore how we can all contribute to a more inclusive culture – both inside and outside our organisation.
