After decades of guiding clients, I know trust and attention to detail matter most.

How do you describe what you do?

Principally managing discretionary investment portfolios for multi-generational families (for 40+ years including fourth generation), including family trusts, otherwise for SIPPS and charities.

What's next for you professionally?

Having introduced my clients to colleagues, life in retirement outside Evelyn Partners from 31.12.26 onwards.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?

Keep close to your clients.

What's an experience with a client that's stuck with you?

A client at Capel-Cure Myers sounded unhappy and said he had read that my company was recommending BP months after I sold them. I went to the Library and found a newspaper article saying that James Capel were buying BP.

What's your favourite thing about your role?

My long relationships with my clients, their diversity and taking a holistic approach to my role.
