How do you describe what you do?
I support Financial Planners by preparing meeting packs, updating valuations, and liaising with product providers. I handle client queries where I can and submit new business, helping to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
What's next for you professionally?
I’m keen to take more exams, gain further knowledge, and work my way up by taking on new challenges and responsibilities. I’m focused on continuing to learn and grow and potentially progressing to Financial Planner in the long-term.
How did you start off in your career?
I started my career at 17 through an apprenticeship in Financial Services Administration, which gave me a solid foundation in the industry. During my apprenticeship I completed CII exams and obtained my Certificate in Financial Services.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
I really enjoy getting stuck into tricky tasks that make me think, especially when I’m working with people who can teach me something new - it keeps things interesting and helps me grow.
When you're not at work, what's your favourite thing to do?
Outside of work, I love spending time with my friends and family. Mondays are my favourite as it has been “family night” for years, where my grandma cooks for us all, and it’s such a nice way to start the week and catch up with everyone.
