How do you describe what you do?
I provide generations of families with a source of trusted advice as their financial needs change over the years. I have a special interest in assisting clients going through Divorce & Separation.

I look forward to continuing to grow my client base at Evelyn Partners.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
To my son on starting his first job, maximise your pension contributions at a young age!

What's an experience with a client that's stuck with you?
Clients that benefit from my advice on a personal level, especially if they have lost a partner that has always dealt with finances. Being able to take a stress away by helping them make a suitable financial plan is always really rewarding.
How did you start off in your career?
I was a practice manager in a Law firm which had its own IFA department. I liked the thought of being client facing but knew I didn't want to be a lawyer. I was always a money person so it seemed a natural fit.
What's your area of expertise?
Investments, retirement planning, estate planning (Including inheritance tax). My special interest is helping clients going through divorce and separation.
Where do you get your inspiration to embrace what's next?
Generally from my senior colleagues across the business. We have a vast range of expertise and amazing financial planners I can continue to learn from.
What's your favourite thing about your role?
Clients. I really get a lot of pleasure out of helping my clients.
What's next for you personally?
Career Progression within Evelyn Partners.
Do you have a significant experience that your clients would want to hear about?
Twenty years of working in a legal practice gives me a good understanding of how the two professions dovetail. I think my clients really benefit from this.
Where's your favourite place to meet with your clients?
Wherever a client feels comfortable - it is really important to me that clients feel able to open up. For some people that is at their home, for others they like to come to the office.
When you're not at work, what's your favourite thing to do?
Generally run around after my teenage daughter! I take time to myself by swimming on a regular basis and enjoy a day's shopping now and then...
Why does my role as a wealth manager matter?

Dip PFS
